We aim to provide a nurturing space for children and adults to delve into their imaginations through a blend of creativity, mindfulness, connection to nature, and play.
Our ethos is to create a compassionate, non-judgmental environment that provides safe spaces for expression.
All the activities provided aim to inspire creativity using a variety of media. The sessions I provide are structured around themes, allowing for creative joy and individual expression. The sessions facilitated aim to provide an inclusive, safe environment where every participant's voice is valued and heard.
The workshops facilitated encourage personal growth and support individuals to develop social connections.
For the past 10 years, Hayley has developed an extensive range of experience working in a variety of different settings with children aged 2- 12 years old. From this experience, Hayley has gained an understanding of the benefits of exposing children to a holistic outdoor environment where they can play and be creative.
Hayley completed her level 3 Forest School training in 2022 and has experience in both outdoor and indoor creative arts settings. She is trained in Safeguarding and has an up-to-date DBS.
Hayley has First Class Honours in a BA in Creative Arts for Health and Wellbeing at Derby University. This degree has helped her to develop her theoretical understanding of how creativity can support individuals’ mental health and well-being. She specialised within her degree to understand the importance of play and creativity for children’s emotional development and wellbeing.
She recently became a mother to her little boy. Since becoming a parent, this made her aware of the importance of having a support system in place. This is what inspired her to set up Wild Willows Forest School to provide a community setting where families can gather together to support each other and where children can thrive and play within a natural, safe environment.
Hayley also co-facilitates a monthly Mothers’ circle which provides a supportive network for mothers to gather in circle whilst our children play. Website for this: Raising Rooted Mothers Circle
